BHF/CMDA Healthcare Retreat
"Multiplying a hundredfold: Effective witness by fixing our eyes on Jesus and dealing with the weeds"
With Finny Kuruvilla
February 12-14, 2016
Need to get away? Sometimes we need to retreat from the chaos of normal life to gain perspective on everyday matters, hear what God wants to say about our lives, have our souls restored, and be sent back into mission. For the 13th year running, we will spend a weekend retreating to the beauty of God's creation to gather in fellowship and worship, to rest, and to hear from God.
Many Christians enter into healthcare because of opportunities to serve and witness for the Lord. And yet they quickly find themselves sapped of time, energy, and effectiveness to do the very things they set out to do. How can we get back on track? This practically-oriented weekend will be about dealing with the root causes of our spiritual lethargy so that we can stay connected to God and be effective in our vocations. For those in healthcare, what does it mean to fix our eyes on Jesus and take up our cross daily and follow Him? In the midst of intense busyness, family lives, and emotionally draining careers, how can we stay on fire for God? How can we manage our time to be effective witnesses for the Lord? And what are the weeds that we need to root out in order to multiply hundredfold for the kingdom?
The Lord leads us to green pastures, to waters of rest, and to the beautiful woods of New Hampshire to restore our souls. Join us!
