Please join us for a meal.

We want to creates spaces for healthcare professionals and trainees to (1) create meaningful relationships with others in their field and (2) dialogue about how faith in Jesus relates to the practice of healthcare. To that end we host a dinner and discussion on the third Friday of every month.

Meetings are usually at Harvard Medical School, JBM Lounge in Vanderbilt Hall, from 6:30-8:30pm, unless otherwise indicated. Childcare is provided and RSVP is appreciated (see below). Here are our upcoming meetings and speakers:

November 16: Women in Medicine: Featuring Dr. Amy Hale PhD, Dr. Susan Hata MD, and Dr. Rebecca Saff MD, PhD. The purpose of this event will be to have panel members share about their career, faith, the challenges women face in the medical field, and advice to anyone entering their field. We invite all people, regardless of gender, to come to this event. It will be helpful to all attendees!

December 7 (not the third Friday): Christmas Party, take a break from end of the year work and celebrate through games, food, and carols.

January 18: HMS Veritas Forum and follow on discussions. We are going to be trying to engage people in conversation over food following the forum. This is a great opportunity for us to connect with the broader community around issues of faith and healthcare. More information to follow about getting involved and perhaps even helping to lead a discussion with the aide of preparatory material.

February: Retreat = no dinner. Find out more about the retreat by clicking on the winter retreat link at the top of the page.

March 15: TBD

April 26 (not the third Friday): Gloria White-Hammond and Ray Hammond, two doctors who switched over and became pastors of the Bethel AME church in Boston will be sharing about their experiences and their unique insights into the crossroads of healthcare and faith.

May 17: TBD
